don if your headed to the ledge stay on the NE side closer to the island. there has been some larger fish in there closer to the island. a few 50+ fish have come out of there this week. good luck and bring some shad.

I'm new to the board, so excuse me if I don't know where BI is. Is that Block Island in RI?
I'm going out on Saturday but off of Cape Ann.

Sorry folks but never made it out to the Block this past weekend. Sat. there was solid 2-3' chop at 6:00am and winds howling about 25mph, Sunday was a washout.
Hopefully the weather will hold this weekend for a trip. Wish I was off this morning, the weather looks great out today......

Fished the North Rip last evening. Fishing the edge of the rip line produced many bass in the 34"-37" range, down deep, also within the rip fish were breaking the surface chasing bait, it was a mix of bass and blues in the 4-10lb range. Good consistant action.....wish I could have stayed later to drift some live bait.....

just returned from the west side. slow is the word. first trip w;ithout any bait. dragged some niners this evening for a bunch of blues and a couple bass to 35 inches. blues on top everywhere from WH to SWL. still some great fish on the ledge just need to work harder. water was like a mirror and surface temp was 68+. probably get out there again sometime over the weekend.
