HERE'S OUR (standard health cookie (no sugar used) RECIPE
take two sticks of butter and put them in a separate bowl
place in microwave and melt with 40 seconds time
having kept the butter rapper opened
but not removed
pull them out in a place somewhere for later.. (to grease the tinfoil)
dump the melted butter in a main mixing bowl with one cup honey
dark honey like buckwheat for a date bread color
or floral honey (much lighter)or clover for a lighter tastier cookie
mix well with a wire whisker til blended .
now add two teaspoons vanilla
add two teaspoons Cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
mix well
now add two eggs
here (not before)
add one and one half cups oatmeal
add one and one half cups whole wheat flour
mix well
now here's where you can add pecans ....chocolate chips
walnut pieces or raisens (whatever you like)
i usually put the batter in the fridge @ this point

clean up on aisle 7

and turn on (warm) the oven to 350 degrees
then when the prep area is clean
i spread some tin foil (large)
and grease it with the saved butter wrappers

and using an ice-cream scoop make large blobs of dough
pressed down lightly with a fork...
bake for 10-15 minutes top rack

just on foil
using heavier cookie sheets they burn unless
you use 300 degree heat for a bit longer
these cookies are great in the morning with coffee
