Online stock trading
What are you using? Pros/cons. Execution? Cost?
I need to make a move.

Scottrades site went down for 45 minutes while my medbox stock plummeted from over 90 bucks to less than half. They told me it never happened before and have me 20 lousy free trades. Their screwed up site cost me over 3 grand.

I bounce around and can't find one I really like.
OT...I just heard on cnbc, that as of today. Facebook at its current value, you could buy Boeing and Eli Lilly. I know what Boeing and Lilly make...I still can't figure out how facebook makes money

depends on how much U R going to start investing....get a financial adviser.....stay away from .coms or any stock that does not pay a dividen....IPO's the rich and famous have already bought for less then public offering....by the time the public buys an IPO the rich has already made a few bucks on your buyin and they sell quick.
Best buy about 3 years ago was GE @ 3.50 a share now about 26 bucks and about 3-3 1/2% return on your money...not such a good buy today has not moved up

I started buying gold and silver a couple years back.
Although the price has dropped, I am still buying.
I figure that if the economy should crash, I want to have something of value other than some lousy government promise that :things will get better"!!!
Oh, and I would stay away from ebay and craigslist if you plan in investing in precious metals. They tend to be allowing more and more fake gold and silver.
Do your homework and go to a reputable merchant.

Going with Fidelity. Getting their Pro Trader platform and 60 free trades over next twelve months. Only one position that I am a little worried about now that the account is "in transfer" and I cannot effect any trading for a week, or when ever it is received by Fido.
