To be clear, the needed part is identified in the attached picture. The screw identified by the arrow is needed as well.

I sent an email to VS. If they (for some reason) come back and say that the part is unreasonably expensive that might change things

I called Zebco because the parts idenified on the VSB150 schematic on their website looks like it really is for a non-bailed 150.
Here are the part numbers & prices: - Handle Hub (part number VSB1014B): $14.46
- Screw (part number SCSHC8): $.47
Please confirm your agreement to purchase if this is acceptable.
FYI: To order the parts call 800-588-9030 at press "9" for a human. You'll want to double-confirfm the numbers, prices and that the Handle Hub is black.

You must have been occupying the lines when I called in. I called RE instead and they were going to call me back. I'm still taking the reel

I broke the handle neck on my non-bailed 150, so to make do I unscrewed the bailed-150's handle assembly and used that. The bailed 150 has a longer handle neck and I liked the feel of that one better, so I ordered that one to replace the one I broke. Problem is, the handle hubs are different on the two reels and the longer neck wouldn't seat correctly, so I kept the handle hub on the non-bailed 150 and just switched handle knobs (I like the little one better).
So, there you have it.
Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but the non-bailed 150's handle neck is so short that it sometimes feels awkward when setting the hook. I also do something weird by reflex when setting the hook -- I put a lot of pressure on the handle neck with the mechanics of my hook set -- this is the second handle neck I've broken when setting the hook (the other was a VS275!)

Got the reel Eric... I'm speechless... The thing is just as described. Even managed to get the necessary parts today at Rivers End. Best deal I've gotten on a VS. THANK YOU!
