Lighted hats

Seen them, never had one. Any feedback? Could definitely see having one for work and fishing. Was looking at this one;

Wondering if any sponsors carry something similar.....

Or the company is going out of business next year....which makes a lifetime warranty worth bupkiss.....lifetime warranty is only good for the lifetime of the company giving it to you

We had one of those Pilot hat Lights at the Salt Water Edge. I thought it had real applications - especially for non submersive fishing like sand beach fishing and nighttime largemouth in freshwater. They were very easy to use. I do remember thinking they might not hold up for wetsuit and very wet surfcasting/ wading.

Pros:

Ease of use
Access
Cons:

Poor adjustability
Easily lost

I still think the neck light / Headlamp are better - particularly with a soft red light option

Or the death till we part lifetime warranty.
That ain't a lock either.

I'd be concerned about any moisture issues in the cap.
Red head lamp w a backup neck light keeps me covered.

I got an llbean one just like that one for christmas one year, it works well but its a white light and I want red. I had my wife paint the lights with red nail polish, but it seemed to only dim the light and not really make it red...

I think the cap clip light is the way to go, I used to have a nice red one that I used for a couple of years then the clip broke, thinking about getting another one.
here is what I'm talking about: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cyclo...ck/1089659.uts

I still swear by my Energizer red/white neck/head lamp. 4th year in the surf and boat and other than new batteries, no issues what so ever.

No boat, back in the suds.

Thats the same one I use.....like the fact I can just flip the switch in one direction to get the red light.

although I don't pay $47 for it....:yikes:

I get them at walmart for $15

These are decent, my wife got one for my son at a trade show for promotional products. He loves it and I use it often while hunting. She only got one but said she could have brought home a case of them but didn't thing I would give up the head lamp. Sometimes she just doesn't get it, but she is a keeper just the same.
