Vac. Break for laundry. Bloo read this

Hey everyone!! I am home for some supplys and to do some laundry But I will be heading back in a couple of hours.
I have been doing alot of Fluke fishing and having a blast at it.
Bloo I was trying your Scup riging! And it works great! Caught some live Scup at Quicks Hole and the started to Bass fish. The first couple of trys did not work out to well btu I got the hand of it and caught a couple of nice bass 30" and a 39" But this is not what excited me by no means! Now before I go on I want to say I do not lie about my fishing!! I will tell anyone when and were if I can! I belive that there is anough for everyone!! And the reason I am making this statement is because this day we forgot the camera at the house and I was camping so there is not a pic.
A budy and I were live lining Scup out side Quickes hole and all of the sidduen I got slamed!! What a slam it was! I started to fight the fish which was taking drag. It felt like a bass or blue but was really not the same But I kept reeling. When I saw it I could not belive it!! I yelled for the net!!!!!! It was a huge Fluke (later when weight it was 11.3 # at Berges Seafood) It was 41" long!!! WOW this was the bigest Fluke I have ever caught!!
Well if that was not anough my buddy got a hit much the same as mine and again on live Scup, and yet another Fluke weight 9.7 # My god I was never so happy in my life!!
But this was the last of the big Fluke that day, and I have not had the chance to get over there since.
Now on ther other hand I learned something else if you go over to the Lucas Shola Green can and go on the side close to the Vinyard you will find that it is about 65 feet there. If you are there before the sun comes up or real close to it you will hear fish breaking. They are Fluke! Thats rt I was there 2 mornings and the fluke were rt on top of 65 feet of water. I got two 6#'s there and they were not on the bottom, they were about half way in the water coloum about 30 or so feet off the bottom. I was reeling up to ck bait when bam !! I had them on. We got about 6 good fish out of there 2 mornings before the sun was high.

Sorry for the long post but I am so excited and wanted to share but had no Computer. See ya all when I get back!! I am bring my daughter's Laptop so I can keep a log of all this stuff and will tell you all about it later. And I now have the Camera !!!

Joe.....

Your post alone is thanks enough!!!

I'm glad it worked for you. I bet you never imagined in your wildest dreams that a fluke, of all things would hit a live scup. I think Fish_Eye said it best, they are one of the most vicious fish in the sea. How did you hook them? I'm guessing just behind the dorsal fin. Fluke don't have to swallow head first, they have teeth that cut very well, and your "hook-up" ratio would probably be better just behind the dorsal fin area.

Thanks for the post Joe. I'm still coughing up lungers from the fish-a-thon me and goose enjoyed this past weekend, (I caught a nasty cold)...but after reading about your exciting day....IT'S ALL GOOD!

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

great fishing mj an great fluke, you should enter it in the mass state turny. some years back I got a 17#er, 36" long an 31/2 thick, won the governors cup [in mass] for the year, got a silver cup, patches an my name in the paper[most wanted by the f..]. I'm jealous of all this fishing time your getting in.

BOAT fish do count.
