Massachusetts and Connecticut Fundraisers for Tony Stetzko and his son
At Least 2 separate events are planned as a Tribute and Fundraiser for Tony and his 7 year old son Anton III.
The larger event is Sunday March 29th at the Eastham Elks Club on Cape Cod from 4 to 8pm. Lots of details on the We love You Tony Stetzko RIP Facebook Page. It will be a terrific event with some absolutely incredible items donated to raise money.
The other event is being put on by some friends of Tony to be held in Madison Connecticut for people who may not be able to make it to the Cape on the 29th. The Connecticut event isTuesday March 24th at 6:30 at the First Congregation Church of Madison CT in the Church Hall.
Alberto Knie has generously agreed to be the featured speaker to talk about Tony and also a seminar on how to catch the next Big Bertha. We are firming up all the details. We thought a CT event featuring a talk by Crazy Alberto would bring some people out even if they did not know Tony in order to help raise some needed funds.
There will be more details on both events posted here soon.
We urge you to attend an event for Tony if you can or otherwise try to help out. The CT event can use some raffle donations.
Rest In Peace Tony.

Facebook page already has 39 people saying they are coming so that is really good.
I hear little Anton III likes to fish. Looks like his father. Pulling out all the stops.

The Connecticut tribute and fundraiser for Tony's 7 year old son, Anton III is coming together for Tuesday Night March 24 6:30 at the First Congregational Church of Madison. CT church hall
Spend a night remembering Tony Stetzko and hear presentations from Crazy Alberto to help you catch the next Big Bertha and Mike Laptew will be doing a slideshow and video that celebrates Tony's life and his uncanny ability to read the water and find fish. Expect there to be other guests. Worth coming even if you never heard of Tony.
Will be raffle items and if you want you can make a small donation at the door.
Should be a bittersweet night for one of the really good guys in our world of Surfcasting.
On his death bed he was told of the planned fundraisers and he asked modestly "you think anyone would show up?
lets show up and share a night to remember.

Don- that would be great if you could. Your plugs make better raffle items than my old Commander Cody albums-
You can send raffle items to me at

Me and Tony used to chat from time to time. I've got 4 paintings that he custom painted for me, they mean a lot to me. Unfortunately it's killing me I had a bunch of prototype plugs from Tony and from his dad and I can't find em been driving me crazy looking for them.

A couple of updates on Tuesday night’s event:
First off we will be requesting a $10 donation at the door. Feel free to donate more as 100% of the funds raised from this event will be going into a college fund for Anton III.
Second, the outpouring of donations has been amazing and we will be breaking the donations down into three groups. There will be two different groups of items to be raffled off and one group of items will be used in a silent auction. The raffle tickets will be $1 each for “Schoolie Prizes” (smaller items like basic lures, etc…) and $5 each for ”Cow Prizes” (bigger ticket items). The silent auction will be reserved for the special, rare and hard to find items like a special set of Mike Fixter plugs, signed prints and so on.
More to come, but that’s it for now.

I will need to go though this weekend to see what I have in order to donate.
Just a thought, can you have one of these auction packages ass an online one that people can buy raffles for and the drawing is online?
Unfortunately, a lot of us may not be able to make it so many may be unable to participate as well. Just tossing this out there.
(I am going to try to make it)
