I have a 8 gallon blinkman mega pot that I do the mash and the boil in. A few 5 gallon car boy fermenters, a bunch of 5 gallon buckets for fermenting/ sanitizing and a 5 gallon co2 keg system. Next on the list is a mini fridge to ferment in to achieve precise fermentation temps and to keep my beer cold when serving.

I'd say about 1K can set you up to be a really nice mini brewery.
For me, I think I spent 700 total but I scrounged some things together from things I had laying around.

Take a peek at Northern Brewer . Com. For prices.
I'm set up to brew all grain, which adds a bit more to set up costs, but yields a much better product.
