albright knot or should i insert the mono into the dacron
for a few feet and glue the end of the dacron to the mono?

I could be wrong but I think dacron needs to be spliced to mono in a special way.

Splice it. Feed the mono into the dacron for 5 ft. Whip the first foot or two from the end of the dacron with dental floss. Tie the floss at both ends. Good to go.
