Got the hernia's taken care of
Funny what shows up when you lose weight. Umbilical hernia, which are common I'm told, and an angular hernia, less common, but located where you think hernias should be. The belly button one was larger than at first thought, and took longer to repair. The anesthesiologist said I'm going to give you something to relax you just before they wheeled me into the OR, and I was out before I was all the way through the outer doors. 11:45 a.m. into the OR and I woke up at 2:30 pm in recovery, and was home at 5:30 pm.
Sore but comfortable. My primary wanted me to wait a few months to see what happened, but I vehemently told her I have to be healed by mid-April for fishing. Have to lay low for four days, and take it easy for thirty. Will be lots of lures made in the cellar.

Get well soon. Had same things done July 19th. Caught 3 20 pounders in the canal that morning. Surgery early that am. Doctor wrote orders, "no 20 pounders till after follow up appointment in 2 weeks". Followed doctors orders and was tired and sore a few days then after 2 weeks was back at the canal. Did do a little light freshwater fishing a few days to get my casting started and test my stitches. Good luck. You will be glad you had it done. Just take it as it comes. Bill

The low one was or is just an after surgery issue, and a minor one at that. The umbilical hernia I have been pushing back in for months. Uncomfortable sometimes, but not really painful even though the surgeon said it was large. Hurts post surgery though. Glad to have the 20 oxy's to kill the discomfort. The numb urinary tract, as a result if the anethesia draining out if my body really us annoying. But I needed it down to get back in the rocks early.

You pushing it back in reminds me of the years I kept pushing a groin "bust out" back in, being laid up for a couple of weeks back then was next to impsible, along came the one day deal with the stiched in screen and I was on it like goose on a June bug :-)
Be careful on those 50#ers... 🐟🐟🐟 😀
