SIPHON PUMP--$$ SUZUKI OUTBOARD 200

Ok. day 1 on this board, and I have another question.

1995--Suzuki 200 Outboard.

is being charged $380.00 for a siphon pump normal? This is just the $$ for the part...no labor.

Long story...but the bottom line is: 380.00??

just got the bill tonite for 700.00 !!

ok.

Got some 'better' information last night. it wasn't the syphon pump it was an electric fuel pump. Searched the internet last night for $$ but suzuki parts are no where to be found.

closest i could find was for a merc. and it was about 195.00. So, add foreign to the mix, and yeah...it could be right.

We expected to throw $$ into this hole, just not so much at a time !

If anyone has any recommendations on mechanics outside of a marina, down the cape(mid-cape). Let me know...!! I'd rather give that type of money to a local guy rather than a marina.
