Lack of thoughtfulness and honesty are pre-requisites to embrace liberalism.

These people would not actually prefer if the Charlotte police officer was the one killed. They get more upset at what appears (need to investigate) to be a justified shooting.

I agree - and lack of empathy and compassion for anyone less fortunate than themselves (and throw in a little racism) are are pre-requisites to embrace conservatism.

You prove your ignorance and intolerance with every post . As a for instance, don't let the fact that conservatives , as a whole , donate more of their income to help those less fortunate, than do liberals get in the way of your narrative .
The #^&#^&#^&#^& you and others spew is exactly why we have a growing racial divide .

I was going to mention having anger issues also - see above post.

Racial divide - is that why people here mention something about blacks in almost every thread?

They ignore all facts that reject The Narrative. That's why I say you can't be liberal if you are honest and thoughtful. It's simply not possible.

Here is the study that you and I refer to, published in that right-wing rag called the New York Times.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/op...stof.html?_r=0

"households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.

Other research has reached similar conclusions. The “generosity index” from the Catalogue for Philanthropy typically finds that red states are the most likely to give to nonprofits, while Northeastern states are least likely to do so."

Not all conservatives are generous, not all liberals are stingy. My point is that neither side can claim to have a monopoly on compassion. So when people like Paul claim that conservatives have no empathy, they are making fools of themselves. If they keep saying it enough, I guess it is assumed to be true. But a tiny speck of intellectual honesty, exposes this liberal myth for what it is - made up jibberish that is designed to cancel the debate, rather than to win the debate.

This is a political platform that literally requires dishonesty and thoughtlessness.

This was studied by political scientists at MIT a few years back and they found charitable donations were about the same but the motivations were different.

I've discussed this a few times and don't bother any more. I know that my own personal donations consist of about 30-40% going to my church. We have a gorious hall and are building a gym.

See, here's the thing...I can fill the oceans with facts that support my conclusion that liberalism requires thoughtlessness and dishonesty (if you don't believe me, look at what's happening in Charlotte right now, listen to what your side is saying, compared to what my side is saying). You can never support your claim that conservatives lack empathy. In fact, that you keep saying that, is proving my point. There is data to suggest that conservatives are at least as generous as liberals. Common sense also suggests that is true. But you ignore all that, for the sake of protecting your agenda.

Liberals want to give blacks just enough table scraps to keep them alive (if they are kept poor, they will still vote for Democrats). Conservatives want blacks to feel genuine success. Somehow, that makes me racist.

Conservatives want to give poor blacks the choice to send their kids to schools that work. Liberals want to deny them that choice. But my side is racist?

Do I have that right?

Please tell me Paul, other than the fact that people like you keep saying it, WHAT IS IT ABOUT CONSERVATIVISM, THAT IS RACIST? You can't prove I ma racist because Rachael Maddow and Al Sharpton say so. Pick a true conservative principle, and explain how it's racist, and we can discuss. Or kindly admit that you have zero evidence.

Touche.

I guess I should have said "Non Caucasion".

I wonder if any other active threads are discussing blacks right now?

Well, considering with the riots going on right now, there probably are. Since the riots are based on Racial tensions, again, there probably are. Doesn't mean anybody doing the posting is racist.

This is the dialog that all those athletes are taking a knee over.

Funny how Kaepernick and the other athletes taking a knee are doing so because they believe a conversation needs to happen....and when someone starts the conversation they get labeled a racist.

"Anger issues" is a Democrat meme used to splash negative verbal paint on socalled "conservatives. Anger is perfectly fine for Democrats when it is expressed, even violently, by leftist "protesters." When Republicans express anger, even simply by stating their opinion, it becomes an "issue."
