Greenies ><>
I was just talking to a fisherman that paid $16 a gallon for green crabs Sunday .
No wonder the lobsterman I met 3 years ago told me that in the fall his boat doesn,t go out ……..he catches greenies for some charter boats & bait shops

Ray , don,t worry about it . this year has been close to a waste for me ………..if its not me ,,its Dennis <<< doctor appointments .if its not that then I ,ve never seen a year of weather like this / hot / hot .then rain , rain, rain, ……& the wind .that,s just been a constant .the weatherman on channel ten didn,t even mentioned the wind @ 5 tonight .just brisk // channel 6 a completely different story ..
I can,t even invite anyone to go because with no seats & at least 15 miles one way ……….. a bad back & a wet ass would be the least of the issues .

Few years ago I was selling them to guys for $20-30 for a 5g bucket. And a bait shop in NB. Got tired of chasing them around the basement every time I opened the bait fridges

Ray thanks for the bucket, the forecast tomorrow is looking good, after that it turns to crap. Thankful for a mid morning high tide, so no rush to get out early to freeze our butts off, when we can launch later and plan to drop the hook after the turn.

Looked like everyone had the same idea today, because when we finally got to the ramp in Westport, the lot and even the overflow lot was packed. We had a late start and unfortunately my friend had one of four trailer tires throw the tread a mile from the ramp. Took some doing to file thru the spare tire brackets, due to the pad lock being rusted shut. When we pasted the wreck we saw the fleet to the east and we continued on to our favorite late October Ledge and was pleased to see only one boat anchored. Three hours later we were spent after hauling over hundred tog over the side between the two of us. No double digits, but several over seven lbs. Seems to happen every year, that one calm day before the storm turns out to be a great one.
