Fishing With Wood

Do you fish wood plugs from a breachway or high rock piles? I fished with a gibbs plug from a breachway and pulling it up it got all kinds of nicks and scratches. I don't mind my plug getting scraped up if it is plastic, but not a nice wood plug. Need some advice on what everyone does.

Think wood SWIMMING plugs - you have a wonderfull entity called current bringing your offering beyond range you can cast which allows you to carry your offering over more water. That same more water you are covering is a beautiful churned up rip which is a MAJOR BONUS , on top of that you have the opportunity to use a plug that is greatly enahnced in turbulent water - use it all to your advantage.

Those nice wooden plugs won't get scratched and dinged in your plug bag & they won't catch any fish either. By all means - mark that plug, damage it, and let a bass beat it into submission - otherwise you dropped $15 to Dan and Dennis for a X-mas ornament.

I guess you guys are right, don't worry about nicks and scrathes.
This is my first year fishing with wood and I hated seeing that beautiful plug getting beat up.

It's more beautiful hanging out of a 30#ers mouth...

I think wooden plugs look much better with big worn patches and bite marks in 'em.

BM...can't wait to see your stuff tonight. I am a big fan of plugs - only use eels when I have to. So, I'm psyched for tonight, but I don't think I'm telling the wife how much moolah I'm bringing.
