RESPECT >>>> we may not have have money . but we were taught RESPECT .from our family , the neighborhood /parents & back in that time I must admit , the nuns & the priests .
we always said yes & no please / held all doors open for everyone .
the elderly .were held to a higher level ..
I also was lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood that saw no difference , in color , religion , nationality , sexuality , or any other different beliefs .
inside our neighborhood we were never challenged , for being who we were
.I can,t say that stayed the same . when I/we were not there. be it in school , or anywhere we were with other kids , or adults ..> people
...it was there I got my real taste of religion

My MOm [taught] me my lesson .she never said it to me in words
...but she showed me in her actions or lack of
.. I,m so angry with myself it took me a long time to realize it
. AND that is/was
.. NEVER look down at someone or NEVER look up .because you are never better than or lesser than another person ..no matter what you are told or they may think
.I tried to raise my kids about the same way
I couldn,t exactly the same because /life & times changed
..but we tried hard & they have the core that was needed & I love them & are proud of them
.times have changed ><>
