Fishing For Stripers

Anyone on this site do it? I went fishing last night. I caught a striper and a bluefish. It was fun. I like fishing.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

I haven’t targeted stripers in several years, sure I will catch a few if they are feeding in the same areas I’m looking for tog, sea bass or fluke; but I don’t go striper fishing any longer. I’ve enjoyed almost fresh tasting sea bass and tog all winter thoughts to one of the BEST inventions ever, the vacuum sealer. I’ve still got a few bags of tog left and starting the 18th, it’s sea bass season, love light tackle sea bass fishing.

Blue fish huh seems early that’s pretty awesome. Heard of a good cinder worm hatch last eve in a few places that produced some fish larger then what’s been around the previous weeks

JohnR: So does my wife. We’ve been to half a dozen stores to catch some. Sometimes get lucky and get a whole stringer!

Got Stripers: that’s where I’m at too; only fish for stripers these days when I fish for something else. Looking forward to Sea bass season soon. Hope to get some in the freezer. A far cry from 20 years ago.
