Danny's in general roll too much for trolling, Goo goo eyes are probably the best trollers and still remain castable, pikies will slow troll, deep dive Danny's ( shaved heads) are stable enough for trolling, bottle plugs make excellent trollers.. there are others but those are the ones I use most frequently.

I am not much of a troller these days and it depends on depth, but I don't think you do much better than an SP minnow. That is if you aren't trying to get down twenty feet.

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

Sadly... tough to beat as ridiculous as it is. For daytime. Never had much confidence at night although the Professor has done well at night with them.

From HighHillStriperClub site “ But a boat fisherman’s desire to try trolling a darter would change that. During 1965 Frank Arendt asked Jack Frech to make a big darter, one that he could troll behind his boat.”
I would give a darter a go, slow troll. One of decent size 3oz with a slightly narrower plane than those of regular darters intended for surf use.

I sell a lot of Trollers both Sr and Jr to kayak guys for trolling, as well as to the surf guys. Also both sizes of Goo Goo's for both.

Deep diving rapala Macs have put an impressive amount of nice fish in the boat.
Out by the pot lines the plug is back 100’ and down about 30’. Doesn’t get any easier.
