Really strange aircraft activity over westport tonite
Got home bout 6:30 tonite and as got out of car (yes CAR as truck has died). was perplexed and even a little concerned about the very unusual type and amount of air activity around. this was weirder than the nite years ago that we have discussed about the stealth fighters over SOCO or the repeated training exercise I watched 2 years ago over beavertail
I don't know what they were but I thought we were under attack
A pair of big, big aircraft pretty low in a a trailing formation moving north west to south east. Wing lights seemed over a football field apart the strange part was almost no noise. about 20 minutes later another pair on an slightly different heading. I mean my ceiling fans make more noise and these were big f'n aircraft If a military cargo plane like others that have flown over in the past either prop or jet propulsion at this level would have made house shake. we are on the approach to New Bedford airport and even the small planes make a hell of a racket
there were also a few helicopters and other small propeller airplanes wandering about on abnormal flight paths as well. we reguarly have sets of Blackhawks running in formations back forth over house but they run the same flight patterns but this was different. no spotlights so not searching.
was eerie. Called a couple of buddies to ask if they knew if lock and load time or what..
Anyone in the know ?

My military aviation obsessed son says those would likely be B 2's. Engines are internal to make them as quiet as possible, I am told.

These things were more silent than anything I have ever heard or depicted in any of those videos. And like I said, they were big and low. There was no high pitch sound from jet turbines. No whirl From props. No after noise after they went by. It almost seemed like they were just gliding. And they were as low as helicopters. I mean so quiet that I could hear cars on 195 which is about 8 miles north.
And they were lower than even the helicopters that go over.
I usually don't give it much thought with all the air traffic we have go over us but these were creepy quiet that's why I speak about
Maybe ET

Are there any time periods you can't recall memory of?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

just training for WW3.. probably nothing though.
I was fishing under SE Light 20 years ago with Rich Smith from SOL and we both thought we saw UFO's.. turned out it was 3 C-130's flying in formation over the ocean. they were flying dark and would only turn on their lights when they would turn.

I remember years ago fishing off of Bonnet Shores late one clear night and I saw a star like light cutting across the sky. Then it started emitting a glowing plume that became huge.
Turn out it was a rocket from Wallops Island performing a high altitude reflectivity test. It. Was freaky.

ABout 10 years ago I was fishing off Beavertail and saw something I could not comprehend slowly moving up from Narragansett and slowly SE towards Block then towards me.
Think it was a huge Japanese Sky Lantern type thing

Oh I have stories from a ten day camping trip my brother in law and I decided not to cancel after 9/11 happened just a few days before. No commercial flights and we were two hours northeast of Bangor and let’s just say we saw some unbelievable and unexplainable UFO flight patterns. The area is well known for sightings and John and his fishing buddy actually had a missing time episode of their own years before. As the story goes they left a roaring fire to do an hour of smallie fishing after dark, they returned an hour (they thought) later and just a few embers in the fire pit.

Whiteman AFB in Missouri is the sole base for the B2, and there are only 21 in service. If those were Spirits, they were a long way from home.
Maybe they're in town for an air show, if that's what they were?

I had the C-130 treatment once. About as strange was a swan that nearly gave me a haircut on Briggs Beach. Amazing how much noise the vibration of their feathers makes on a calm night.
