Maine (York/Ogunquit area) Charter
I'm taking the family to Maine for 4th of July week this year. I'd love to get my sons out on a boat and after some fish. Can anyone recommend a charter captain in the area?
Oddly enough, I spent the first 35yrs of my life living in the Northeast before moving to Texas and I've never been to the state of Maine.
I'll be bringing all of my surf gear with me as well so plan to hunt for some bass at night. Any and all pointers about the area would be appreciated of course.
Thanks guys

Maine has some of the most beautiful coastline in all of New England. Even the small towns that get summer tourists don’t feel touristy. It’s just a chill vibe.

If a small head boat interests you Bunny Clark out of Ogunquit is excellent for both beginners and experienced fisherman. Been out with them 3 times

Thanks J. I will check them out.
I was hoping to find a captain that runs a small center console where we can throw plugs or live line macs. So far the two i've stumbled across are Breakwood Charters and Breton's Fly.

Give Capt. Greg Metcalf a call. While I have not fished with Greg, he and I spoke weekly when I ran The Fisherman Magazine as he handled the northern reports for me. I am sure he could recommend someone for you if he is not available. His website is http://www.captaingregmetcalf.com/.

Went to school in Biddiford right down the coast. All the girls that worked in the hotels and resorts stayed in Ogunquit.
