Weekend Plans

Down in SE NC for a couple days, fish plopping in the canal behind the rental.

So what’s up for the weekend?

Spent the day Saturday putting the boat to bed for the winter. Perfect temperatures on a nice fall day! Used a foam cannon (awesome tool) to get the interior cleaned after winterizing systems. Secured winter frame (PITA) and pulled on the custom cover for its third season. (boatcoversdirect.com) Backed into space beside garage. Made up short list of winter repairs and replacements (VHF antenna and bilge pump)

It takes longer and more effort every year, but glad I got it out and bedded down before the temps drop another ten degrees. I have usually waited until the very end of October to haul, but starting in on my repairs Tuesday with carpal tunnel surgery....
