Trumpcession: It’s Friday. There are 613 days until the midterm elections.
Known measle cases in the Southwest approach 150.
FFOTUS’ DOJ releases Epstein docs that were public.
ATLANTA FED: "The GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the first quarter of 2025 is -1.5 percent."
For comparison, Atlanta's prior forecast was +2.3%.
Among the hand-picked folks the White House is letting into the Oval Office with FFOTUS and Zelenskyy today is a correspondent from
TASS, the Russian state news agency.
And it’s only noon

Epstein docs turned out about as interesting as Al Capone’s vault.
Anyone notice they first regaled them to right wing social media influencers???

Considering how fast the Trump Zelinsky press event just imploded in front of the cameras I’m assuming as Musk says, we’re going to experience an unscheduled rapid disassembly and it will be a spectacle.

This hit the nail on the head
"Both the president and vice president showed the U.S.-led alliance system something it needed urgently to know: The national-security system of the West is led by two men who cannot be trusted to defend
America's allies—and who deeply sympathize with the world's most aggressive dictator."

I’m sort of warming up to the idea we’re moving closer to military alignment with Russia. Pulling out of NATO should save us like 900B a year and we can use that money for more tax cuts for the 1%.

The whole news conference was a stunt by Trump. Just look at the question from the America one news agency asking why he doesn’t Z wear a suit that would be like a reporter asking Trump, where he gets his spray tan. But Trump or Vance didn’t shut the individual down for disrespecting a world leader. They theycontinued the theme.
Why because Trump has discovered that he can’t make the deal with Putin that he was claiming that he could .. the meeting they had held in Saudi Arabia produced nothing so he had two choices. Confront Putin, which would alienate his base or blame Zelensky. Knowing full well, the Maga horde would in no way hold Trump accountable for anything. And as of today we’ve seen no transcripts of the discussions between the US and the Russians and Saudi Arabia funny how that works with the most transparent government in. History.
Also, did you notice not one right winger have complained about Elon Musk and the oval office with jeans and a T-shirt. And how disrespectful that is. . there’s a reason for that. They haven’t been told to be outraged about it. We’re in North Korea just spelled North America.

This is very true, although I don’t think rejecting Putin would alienate MAGA. They will follow his whim of the moment and proclaim it was all 7D chess. If anything actually it might just generate some goodwill with independents and bring the country a little closer together.
But, Trump has a love affair with brutal dictators and they all know how to play him like a fiddle. Zelinsky was the only real man in that room and they have no idea what to do beyond campaign speeches.

MAGA hates Zelenskyy because he exemplifies integrity and courage, as MAGA pays the price of power in following Trump which is to bend the knee and fellate.
The world sees this and will remember.

here is a thought. The president should try being as kind to America’s friends as he is to Putin.

It’s Monday. There are 610 days until the midterm elections. The great American crypto scam, Europe rallies around the people we abandoned, Zelenskyy has a meeting with the King of England and Trump’s poll numbers meet reality.
