Has anyone turned their stinky stockingfoot waders inside/out and jumped in the shower with them? And then had the wife walk in? I got the same look as when she came in and found me in the bathtub cleaning my new muzzleloader. When she came outside and found me bow shooting at a 3D deer resting against her car (to improve my concentration), that was a different look altogether.
when I was stationed at Ft Bragg many moons ago, we used to sneak our 45s and my M60 up to the barracks to finish cleaning. Gun scrubber and scalding hot water worked wonders
I dont know about cleaning a peice in a bath tub but when my grandfather was in the service they'd gum up the Barrells with cosomoline or somthin like that [ I forget the spelling] and the only way to get that stuff out is with gas so you'd sneak out to the gas station cover your rifle and your self in gas and sneka back on post this was after WWII [where could you get gas back then]
DOnt use a bath tub Gum out and CArb CLean do the trick just fine.
I don't bow hunt, only hunt with a rifle or shotgun. Don't think my wife would like having her vehicle as a backstop.
