were flaptails used to walk the dog like a spook?

I thought they sank like a rock and you used them like a needlefish...?

tat - you never swam a flaptail? they do a more erratic walk-the-dog than a normal spook. sweet action! even just adding a large colorado blade to a topwater can do wonders!
