yeah that forcast is ugly. you guys who know the area - will that area, NB to mishaum to west island, be safe enough to fish with all that wind?

West 10 to 15 with gusts to 20 is ok as long as we stay behind round hill point the point runs north to south and wind will be coming off the beach. You won't want to fish west island in that wind specially the out going tide. I fished in front of padanaram Sunday in NW 10 to 15 gust to 20 and seas were 2 to 3 ft. It's your call guys whatever your comfortable with. I know I will be fishing that area on sunday regardless if we do togfest or not.

Earlier this year my wife and I where anchored up on Negro ledge (about 3 miles east of Round Hill Pt.) in solid 2s-3s. Although she did fine my guts couldn't take it. We're in a 1851CC. Buzzards bay gets nasty anything S-SW-W expect to take a pounding especially out of the SW when its blowing straight down the pipe. In smaller boats I think you need to cut that distance in half to fish comfortably. |

That forecast sucks.... solid 4' to 5.
Working all day tmw on a building we had to stabilize with temporary walls inside, as the sills and first floor framing were totally rotted. Went through 200 2x4s....brutal. Job just became a structural nightmare. If how I physically feel after today is any sign of how tomorrow is going to go, I am probably not going to be up for those seas.

Or is the ramp on Middle St. Up near rt 6,, across from the VFW Fort Phoenix Post 2892 just as protected?
Never ever been up that way, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night! Thank god for google earth LOL
I lost my crew but still thinking about it solo,,, if nothing else recon the ramps for Monday and or Tuesday .

we've been wishing the forcast doable and it's just not happening so lets do the right thing and postpone this till next weekend - nov 3rd. the forcast is being displayed in red which is never a good thing. if you have to ask yourself if its a good idea to go, than it probably isn't. the fish will be here for many weeks so let's try again with a little more civil weather hopefully. nov 3rd work?

That is a good call IMO...As is stands now...I could make it tomorrow but I would not look forward to crossing the mouth of BB in that slop. They are calling for gale warning sat night in RI sound.
The 3rd looks do-able for me as of right now.

Nov 3 Sounds like a good idea niko. I'm most likely gona fish Sunday because I can't help myself and I'm very comfortable navigating in 20 to 25Kt winds on the bay. I spend a lot of time out there and know exactly where,what tides and relative areas to stay away from. I will post Sunday night and let you guys know how I made out.

Well I was going to be on Guppys boat but I called out cause of the weather, In my condition I need to sit all the time and not sure how
i would do in that slop?
I did not want to go and ruin the day for anyone!!
I did want to meet up with you guys after to here the stories!!
