Whale spotted off Milford Connecticut

A whale was supposedly spotted near Charles Island, off Milford, within the last few days. Looks real. You don't see that every day in those parts. When I was in high chool, there was a beluga whale who spent the summer in New Haven Harbor, who routinely came up to boats to say hi to the boaters. One day its carcass was seen floating, some tough guy shot it. Sometimes we really suck.

I told someone that exact story Tues. they didn't think it could be a Beluga
But that was how I remember it.
People thought the lighthouse park ranger's son did it.

Nebe, it's was prob. 15 years ago at least.

I think it was the very early 1990s. It was a beluga.

It was an escapee from the Mystic aquarium.

I actually swam with that beluga back in the day. A very friendly animal. Still can't believe what transpired. The shooter was never caught.
