She should have had contractual clauses where she would get fined for saying stupid crap. And she should have been fined or doc'd a shows pay.
But she will be sacrificed at the alter of Wokeness and Disney can pat themselves on the back for how correct they are. |

She has a history of offensive behavior. I’ve never watched the reboot but at least one plot line out of three seems to be patently offensive. Her last remarks are over the top. This isn’t stupid it’s bigotry and should be called out for what it it.

Not long ago, Hollywood gave a standing ovation to director Roman Polanski, who fled the US after being convicted of drugging and brutally raping a 13 year-old girl. He lives in Europe now, where as long as the girl you raped wasn't a prominent liberal, such behavior is tolerated.
Similarly, Joy Reid at MSNBC gets a pass for saying horrible things about gays.
Hollywood outrage over the desire to be nice to others, is quite selective. Which means it's fake.

What precipitated her tweet? Was she having an tweet argument with Jarrett or did it just come out of the blue? Kind of weird and it was ignorant but I can't see all the hubub about it.
Generally comedians get some leeway on these issues. Wanda Sykes (whom I love) was the first to say she was leaving the show but some of her material is worse - of course she is black so she gets a pass? What about someone like Andrew Dice Clay who was very popular maybe 30 years back - would a comedian like him get away with that nowadays? As a society are we too sensitive and take things way out of context?
