				Any albie fishing???

My mind has wandered back to thinking about chasing albies at least once this year. Reports? I am north of Boston so have to plan ahead and around a wedding on October 4.... Any old friends still lurking in here? |

				 | Hit Sakonet early today, no sign of funny fish, although a fellow kayaker claims a few bones were caught. Did luck into a pod of keeper sea bass feeding heavy a hundred yards west of the lighthouse, nailed three 19” keepers on my 4” split tail on a 1/2 oz. jig worked fairly aggressively just off the bottom. Once I limited out quickly, i put the trolling motor on mid speed and locked in the headed and sat back to relax. In my old Hobie PA14 i would have needed to peddle hard against that 2 foot chop to work back to the harbor, I am loving the new Old Town kayak with autoplilot. |

				 | report from Last evening outing ... tons and tons of Bait. mostly Bay anchovies left swansea. no action until the light House. lots and lots of sea bass. no size. no surface action. went around towards warrens point. Big schools of slot Bass got 2 29inchers. had the bait up against the shore at the bottom of the Tide. All just slurping up the Bait..
only thing that work on the bass was a 4in Roz. and i tied a small fly to a blacked out old epoxy and slow retrieve .. still tough getting them to eat .

headed back in. found a few Bones by the light house. managed 2 quickly 630pm (not picky ). was told they had bone further up river . but didn't see anything else. no albies |

				 | Sakonnet was crowded and slow, we found our own pile of fish. Bonito, weakfish and Spanish macks. Spanish and bones were on the bigger size |
