Passing Time

Just passed a little time last week with 12 new ones. Most are 3 ounces. Macks are 4 ounces. Time to get out and fish 'em!

Karl - Those are Fluking squid skirts I found at #^&#^&#^&#^&s Tackle. They add a nice touch!

Jigman - The top left are blurple needles. Then I have the polaris style and then the rest are pencils.

It's gonna be a busy winter. I like the way the pencils are working. Plus, they're easy to make!

I meant my other left Shape wise, I think the bottom two will work best as pencils (I could be wrong though). You usually want pencils tapered so that close to the tail is the widest part. Helps keep the weight towards the tail end. This in turn helps them thrash about like you want from a pencil. Not that you can't get other plugs to thrash like a pencil (I'll work a popper that way sometimes), but if the weight is pulled forward some, it takes more work to get them to trash about. The weight in the tail helps keep them anchored and provides a center point for the pendulum. I.e., allows it to rock back and forth with less effort. It also helps with casting. My 2 cents Try them and see what works best for you.

Thanks for the compliments, folks!

JustPlugit - Those dots are done by hand with an airbrush. I'm still not content with the outcome but I am still learning to use the airbrush.

BM - Wanna trade?

Thumbs up

Those Squidy ones would be lethal on Middleground in June when the squid are spawning there. They look just like the ones we see shooting out of the water as the bass chase them to the surface. Same color and everything. Nice job!

Why even try.........
