That was 3 weeks ago this is now and a land breeze pushes em out...I dont know? it is getting late and certainly closer to over than just starting most of what would have migrated has done so already, straglers are always a possibility. I wish there was none of this wind now but hey, cant change mother nature.....go get em!

Interesting theory - so what makes 38LB's the threshold between real nice fish versus slob. Why not 37 LB's or 39 LB's?
So I guess somewhere between 30 LB's and 35 LB's the fish goes from nice fish to "real" nice fish - or to some kind of slob, but not really. But 3 more LB's at 38 LB's and it is a "real" slob?
And 20 LB's is only a decent fish. What is a teen fish then?
I see - sorry but give me a freakin break. They are all big fish & anyone should be happy to get one of them - especially the way things are progressing with the stocks...

JoeP-I agree with you here, I have plenty of big fish and still love teen size fish, they are all nice. And dont let anyone here fool you none of these guys is bangin 30lb fish everynight and they certainly wont tell you about the skunks, only rookies talk like that. reality is everyone has bad nights and tends to forget those. When I see someone with a 20lb fish I think its great just as someone with a 40lb fish, there all good like I said.
someone just starting out may find a 15lb fish a trophy!! Nothing wrong with that at all and I support that, a striper is a striper, as long as your cacthing your doing something right.
Nobody has majic 40lb dust, the best you can do is put yourself in the best place at the best time in the best conditions, size of fish you catch is pure luck, no on can pick size....
But since we are counting here I have 25 fish better than 30lb this year..I know I know Just rats not "slobs" .............
Bottom line here? there all trophys, the striper is the greatest fish that swims, I guess if I was desperate for a 50 I would fish till xmass!! but that goal is acomplished! and from the surf to boot..........

Joe thats my personal criteria not asking you to agree wth it or adopt it and by no means did I mean to offen you, just having some fun posting which I rarely do, I'm usually fishing, or getting ready to, or coming back from, or thinking about it, or dreaming about it, that is when I'm not fishing from the boat with the wife and kids, or oh ya working, you know what you have to do to pay for all the fishing.

Bill I know I just was kindof being a wiseass I guess because he sounds ridiculous. I like catching bigger fish as much as the next guy but they are all fulfilling. I've fished enough & talked to enough guys to know that noone is banging fish like that on a consistent basis. That's why he sounds ridiculous.
By the way, I'd like to know where your 52 Lber sits on his scale -- maybe a really really really f...!!!n big SLOB (no way he thinks a 45 is in the same category as a 50)

I would like to know also, I have heard thru many grapevines that the "headhunter" has no like for me, I have known it for awhile...But never new why?? I guess he hates the fact that a blind man can catch a 50 and he hasnt yet??? who knows... I think mine must have been a " real, real, real slob"
Its funny because I really never did anything to the guy?? exept catch many, many cows in his backyard?? who knows..... While they run to gansett all the time thinking no one knows what they are doing??
