hey y'all, my best friend, jason just purchased a reel, penn 704Z and he needs a rod that matches up the power of lami TS MHS 10' and he cant buy an expensive one, but he is willing to spend anything on thats less than $150. so does anyone here have a recommendation? thanks. ur inputs re appericated. hes going to use it for plugging and chunking like a versatile lami TS MHS 10'.

I've been very happy with the 10ft diawa sealine ($60 at the '06 MSBA show), as a matter of fact, its seat holds a 19yr old workhorse 704z.

How much are the Tri-Flex rods going for? They can't be all that much more than $150?
Quarrow makes some decent rods in the $150 price range, too. Mike CC has some at the shop if your friend can get down to Wareham.

Why not an all star or batson 1208 and he can take a weekend and wrap it himself. Wouldn't have to be fancy.
|
No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.
