				Two for tuna!

Got a chance to take my brother-in-law out off Chatham yesterday. After a broken outrigger line, which I could not jerry-rig no matter what I tried, and my new Furuno 582 going down for some unknow reason yet to be determined, we nailed these two in a double header!
Little guy was 45", the bigger was 67". We were home by 930am, not a bad morning!

I have never done anything in my life as addictive as tuna fishing. Lately, wife is looking at me much the same way that Jack Nicholson's wife did in The Shining, with a mixture of concern and fear! |

				 | The bigger fish took a black squid rig with a white stinger and the smaller took a daisy chain of natural cedar plugs fished behind a big green bird. Maco Joe, if you are mindful of the weather and the seas, you can fish there areas, the Crab, the Sword. But be really sure that things aren't going to deteriorate as the day goes on, it is a long ride home when it is blowin'. I've seen guys in 19' Makos out there.
For me, I didn't start running offshore until I bought an EPIRB, before that I just refused to do it, too much can go wrong too quickly.
