Pogies in Warwick

I was at my marina this afternoon talking to the head guy and he told me that you could walk on the adult pogies in Warwick last Friday. He also said there were BIG Bass all over (or under) them.
BTW, Pulled the boat today and now I'm crying.

No boat, back in the suds.

Boat?Don't need it.Pogies in inches of water!

I just left an area so filled with pogies it was down right frightening. Its to bad it took me almost 30mins to land a blue that was well close to the 20lb range because I missed out some decent bass.Gonna eat and then back at it.

Spot burning

If this was a "Shore" report,
I would bet there would be plenty of the shore guys flipping out reading this report calling it "spot burning" !!!
You guys must like fishing with 100+ boats around you !

Thanks guys. At least there are some sane people on this Board.

1) I never said where in Warwick

2) My post was on Monday reporting on pogies that were seen on Friday.

3) It's almost November for god sake. The fish have fins and are migrating. Clammer thinks there still going to be somewhere in Warwick?

Lighten up Mike. Your loosing it.

BTW, burn all my spots, it won't bother me. The places I fish every yahoo in RI knows about. There are no "secret" spot, although with your additude you would think that you owned the Bay.

No boat, back in the suds.

My girlfrend has a secret spot, but that is neither here nor there.
I live right near the shore in warwick but I drive to Pt Judith to fish.
some night when I'm tired I should go sleepwalking with my fishing pole
there may be some keepers around.

I dont run into many crowds when I go fishing and when I do they are usualy going for scup. If they are puting the scent of bait in the water thats fine with me.

i've read all these posts over and over again and i cant help but think to myself, wasnt this website created by people that were trying to help eachother out or shared a common interest? now i totally agree that spot burning is not fun especially if it is one of my own but i think piemma was just trying to release some frustration that he pulled his boat out of the water. if he said all the bunker were up in the northwest cove of warwick were the river dumps in, i can understand why this may make some people upset. im a member of this site so i can not only learn alot, but share a lot too.

That was exactly my intent. I could have said EXACTLY where the pogies were but I didn't. I figures someone would go exploring and find them, and I was upset because my boat got pulled after running all the way to Apex in the Seekonk River for a month for nothing.

No big deal. I gotta bigger issues to deal with than this nonsense. What the hell, it's only fishing.

No boat, back in the suds.

Hey Piemma(or anybody) I heard a story about a 30 pounder from some rocks in Warwick. I always thought it must have been a freak thing cause I never caught more than 7 or 8 pounders there. Do you know of any catches like that?

He's not kidding you. We had mornings (and nights) with 8 30#+ fish. All in Warwick or so close you could spit and hit Warwick.

I grew up in Warwick - had a little skiff and loved trolling for blues
from Buttonwoods to Rocky Point. I had a blast but I never saw anything
over 8lbs.
