I rarely see any posts here where I think there's a real dis going down. Usually it's Mike P. with both guns blazing cause he smells a troll or an idiot

I'd think Clammers <<<$%&>>> crap would be a dead giveaway that he should be assumed to be full of it unless what he's saying can actually be read.

Never feel bad if Duke says something off putting. He's like a special needs dog that you don't see much use for, but still that sense of pity makes you put a few scraps out when you see him around. Poor guy, my heart goes out to his wife and kids.

This post will most likley be closed.
This will be my last post and comment who cares anyway right.
I know a few people who wont even come here because of how they have been treated on this sight.
Ummm...and girls!! Just Kidding!!

I thought this site was redonkulous when I first saw my husband on it. The stuff people said was obnoxious. My first post was not the best thread. I started a whole bunch of sh**! But once you meet them in person as long as you yourself have a sense of humor you learn to them! Most are very good fishermen and have good knowledge to pass on. I have learned more from the people here then I could ever imagine. My passion for fishing is greater than ever and its because of many many people on this site. Thats just my 2 cents about what goes on here.

Now Larry we can have a group hug otherwise it would be questionable without a girl in it!

Thank you all!
This post wasn't ment to be directed toward you Duke or any one person.I'm not trying to come across as a sissy baby who can't take a joke or a single stupid comment from a stupid person.I didn't start this post because of my last post either, it was because of hearing comments from other people who just lerked or thought about starting a post and have read other post's.I have met a few people from this sight and they are good people.I also belong to a few other sights and belong to a surffishing club. There are jerks everywere you go thats understood. I just think if someone is asking a question about a certain thing which doesn't have anything to do with spot burning or something similar, the (elite fisherman) can help they shouldn't comment thats just my opinion.I feel people should put the time in just like everyone else. Not that this post had anything to do with that just figured I would throw that out.

ILTF,

If you were to go back through all the threads...I swear to you about 90% would be highjacked in some way shape or form. But honestly when people are at work or its not the season for them to fish most go cookoo.
Its just why we have that off topic smiley and the grumpy old pharts board...take the good and leave the rest if what you are looking for is the good.
Honestly I can say for myself and my husband we have posted late at night either having a beer or a drink or after a few. But thats where the fun comes in and I can bust out laughing outloud at my computer and people turn and look and think I am crazy. So I can only imagine what others have been doin when they post?!?
Its either pertinent information or funny crap. Ball busting is on every site. I belong to a women's flyfishing forum and they even ball bust on each other. I just worry about the crazy ones....

Life is too short

Everything is life is 95% BS and 5% truth. I enjoy the BS as it helps pass the time and cherish the 5% I can take away. Some of the people I argue the most with out here would most likley be good friends if we met regularly in person. Find some people you value and can trust and use PMs for specific questions. Thats the best way to get help.

Once you accept that people are basically disappointing and life is ultimately a tragedy, things get easier.

I agree. There is a guy there who just returned after a long absence. His postings makes me wonder how anyone could ever hang out with him (borderline racist in my eye, no compassion for anyone less fortunate, pushy, etc) Yet I've met him in the past and while a little rough around the edges is one of the nicest guys you could ever fish with. I don't want anything to do with him.

Buzz-killer...

Joe, I can't believe you're that much of a misanthrope...

It also sounds like you don't like people very much, either....

This site has the lowest a-hole ratio of the SB sites in my opinion. People are helpful most of the time. Best one on the 'net. In other words, you can leave, but it only gets worse. Much worse.

You want to see some a-holes, go over to that place with the store. Read some posts there and you'll thing you've found paradise in S-B.com.

I'm always up for wings and hooters. I'm not gonna wager against any of the sharpies from the shore around here. I'll just pay my own way. Let me know when the fun afternoon will happen!
