That's not the way I instructed you to catch them but sometimes throwing the methods out and doing what works along with some luck is what catches the fish.

Nice BSB! See you tomorrow out there, maybe.

yum, yum they seem to be very aggressive this time of year.
we caught a bunch last Sunday while we were tog fishin, there where times when you couldn't get the crabs to the bottom before a Sea Bass would grab it. Mind you, I'm not complaining!!

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

yesterdays adventures produced a nice 8.5lb albie and to my surprise a beautiful spanish mackerel. Was pretty rough out there and still needed to get gas so only fished for about 2 hours.

Very nice fish, especially the Spanish Mac.

I knew I should have gone fishing where you were instead of going to Gay Head!!

and then things went slightly south

went out this morning... got a nice blue within 20 minutes of setup... then apparently a piece of sand or something got in my eye... rubbed.... and scratch the crap out of my cornea!
had to head in immediately... 1 eye in nantucket sound = bad news.

can't see out of my left eye and pain comparable to my broken arm when i was a kid... i read they heal quick so im hoping to be back in action tomorrow morning.. we shall see. no pun intended.

Forgot to ask this morning but couldn't have hurt too bad since you were out there today again (Wed), sounds like repeat though you got a blue? Pretty dead while I was there, I had to go to Cleveland to get my 2 baby blues..

Takes longer than that!
....and you have to use eye grease called lactilube, so your eyelid doesn't keep irritating it...

then because of the eye ointment. you cannot see with that eye.

should heal quick. I was told it is the fastest healing part of the bod. I am an expert at getting crap in my eye as I never wear my safety glasses. Been to many an emergency room for just that. Does suck though for a while. The antibiotic ointment Rave is talking about may be worth a Dr's visit if it persists. One eye never seemed to bother Pirates though.

sunglasses and it seemed okay this morning... only a couple days left so i can't let that stop me!

the blue today was 8lbs and judging by the snot we were in this afternoon, im going to weigh it in tonight. got to weigh something in before we leave... even if it's embarrassing

definitely turned off today though. worked hard for one fish... left after finishing up with the kitchen sink. any bsb?

ps.. 100 proof rum seems to be the remedy for now

Today
W winds around 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
Tonight
W winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

i hope tonights forecast is more on than todays! 10kt my arse this AM... try a stiff 25 and 2 ft chop... tried to fish a rip you could have boogie boarded on. had 4 blues in 1 hour. pulling them out of the rip and trying to keep myself out was unbelievable! it felt like i was caught on a rock!

tapped out after an hour... too bad too because the fishing was great!

SOOOOOOO glad i was in a CAT!
