Skunked in The Upper Bay

Im new to fishing and Im sure that Im doing some things wrong - but was wondering if anybody is catching fish in upper Narr Bay?

Over the past week I've fished 5 days and got skunked every time. I've been fishing around warwick light, providence point (northern tip of prudence), chepiawanoxet and conimicut. Im fishing via boat. I've tried 4" storm shads (bunker color) and bucktail jigs. Water temps at the surface have cracked 50 degrees. Each time I've tried to fish around structures. Last night fished chepiawanoxet using fresh (dead) herring on fishfinder rig - didn't get a nibble.

Any hints / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

hey, i couldn't keep them off my poles two nights ago. last night landed a couple of 10+lb. bass. dropped a hand full. the wind really calm the fishing from the other nite. hey, they are out there. and yes, dave u r fishing with the right stuff, but in the wrong area. look for fresh water that dumps into the bay. good luck.

Thumbs up "Skunked in the Upper Bay"

B-assman; your fishing in the wrong place. Providence Port is the place you should be. Just outside the Hurricane Barrier! There are some nice ten to eleven pound bass. There are some blues in that area too!
