My New Basket on my canal bike

Finally had some time to do the bike over. She now has saddle bags. What can I say, I like my girls with a little hips. Now just have to put the new seat cover and rig up the alarm on it and she's almost ready to go..............Not that I will ever use that much crap anyways..........I need this arm to get better so I can fish

WOW Roy, that looks great but that is A LOT of gear
check your tire pressure

what happened to your arm? did you hurt it pulling in fish?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I think he hurt his arm lifting that
off the vehicle. Is that alarm to
protect the GPS, the Ipod, the
Iphone or simply the fishing gear??
What does it the alarm sound like??
So when I hear it I will know where
the man is.

Thanks guys..............The bike also has on star which will detect a broken guide or reel. an operator will then call and send help right away. replacing my rod and reel or bike parts in no time..........lol..........I have two bikes. this is my daytime bike and then my night bike looks like everyone else's.......thats even if im on a bike hahaha.

man im bored, spent sometime in the er the other day cause my elbow was killing me. I've had some problems with my arms for a few years now. They ran some test and ruled out lime and some other things. looks like elbow might be fishing elbow and the rest might be nerve damage. Dont know what id do if i couldn't fish. Its not all about the striper for me. I fish 365 and for everything. I just love fishing. At the end of the day I have just as much fun catching bluegills then bluefin. just a rush that im sure many of us have. Dont mean to rant, must be the muscle relaxers and painkillers...lol

Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) perhaps? An over use injury from repetitive rapid motion. Pretty common. Sauerkraut had crippling cases as a teenager I hear. A steriod shot or anti-inflammatory rx, physical therapy, and an elbow strap often help.
Turn your arm so your thumb points out, press along the outside edge of your elbow near the bone, if it hurts like hell that is likely what you got.
The nerves to the rest of the lower arm don't run past there, damage to them usually shows up as hand symptoms.
Muscle relaxants and pain meds are unlikely to do anything other than delay getting the right treatment.

Thanks George........hurts like hell when I do that. My arms though are numb and hurt 24/7 from above my biceps's down. Sometimes when I grab a hold of something like my phone or a plug my hands begin to shake like i have Parkinson's and if I rotate my wrist I get like an electrical shock that shoots up my arm. Ive had the numbness and pain for about 4 years now which is getting a lot worst now a days. Almost feels like im walking around with rubber bands around my arms and get the pins and needles, unfortunately I can't use them needles to fish with....And yes your right the muscle relaxers and pain killers help, but they just make me feel like superman. Then after a night of fishing the mornings are full of pain and i feel more like 90 years old

This is a reasonable overview, Roy. Go see an orthopod and leave the big fish for me.

Geez Roy that bike has every thing but the kitchen sink. Must take 100 feet to stop it once under way. Sorry for the arm, elbow, pain but that means more fish for us mere mortals. Get well soon.

Roy,

i had all those symptoms and took a break from everything and now i have no more numbness and electric shocks running up the arms.

used to be /...........every time i lifted my rod i'd loose feeling in my hand or they'd go numb

it sucks dropping everything because you have inadequate tactile sensory perception and your not able to feel the object your holding well enough and So you drop it.

I don't take any medications except for high blood pressure.

no pain pills ever now. my point being ....that there is HOPE!

That thing is a TANK. Seriously looks sweet, but heavy. I think Paul said it but you might need air brakes for a load like that behind you. I have to say I always try and bring the kitchen sink as well but end up only using a 1/4 of what I have before either finding something that works or giving up. Canal bikes are a good excuse to overpack IMO. The also are the warm weather version of the ice fishing sled. Essentially the best home made jerry rigged thing you own.

Sweet Bike but don't let the cops see you. Using milkcrates for anything but their intended purpose is a federal offense with capital punishment if found guilty. Since you cut them up that may be punishable by death. It says so right on the sides.
