Plum Island Point ( 33in Striper caught )

My friend caught a 33in striper the other day. One hour after low tide. Another person next to us caught a 32in striper too!! We also caught some smaller stripers. Seems to be going good so far. No blues yet, any idea why? I just got a 10' pole, and I use a 2oz weight with frozen mackel for bait. I'm new to all this saltwater fishing, any tips, support would be great!!! THANKS!

PS:
Good luck on your <><ing trips
