Watching my boating plans go down the toilet......

All this talk of how great craft beer is, thinking about grabbing some and drowning my sorrows

Going to Maine for the weekend...Bringing a flat of herring and mackerel..... I'm going to park my carcass on the inlaws back yard and toss chunks into the Saco river while I drink beer...

It'll be the first time i actualy fished in a week... fog, minus tides ( during minus tides I cant get off/on of my dock an hour either side of low) N/E winds and power full storms have kept my boat tied to the dock all week... I aborted 4 trips.. at least the eel trapping was good....

A good run is better than a bad stand!

On Vacation all next week....was going to start it off with a Kayak outing in M'Head with Rockport24.....but weather is starting to screw things up for that.

Might head out in the yak tonight and do some jitterbugging for bass.

Sunday might just be working on the garden and relaxing.....

May have to go hit a couple of buckets of balls if the S-B Golf outing comes to fruition

Hanging with the bride today, since she just returned from Baltimore and I haven't seen her all week. Baseball with the boy tonight and hitting the water after that. Working Saturday.Have another game Sunday am followed by some work around the house. Baseball practice Sunday night and more fishing after that. Busy weekend but will still get to wet a line.

Heading to the cape camping for the weekend. First day off of work since christmas so its gunna be a nice time to relax, in the rain apparently i guess. I knew the weather would suck, its just my luck but its gotta be good for the fishing.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Hallowed Ground

I leave for Gettysburg in the morning to honor my ancestor at the 150th anniversary of the greatest battle ever fought on North American soil. Captain John C. Broatch, my Great Great Grandfather, was one of three men who helped capture a Tennesee battle flag during Pickett's charge. This article in the Hartford Courant sums it up very well.

Sweet Kierran, enjoy!

My 1st wedding anniv is this weekend, operation dinner-out & hitting a winery with my wife. All of which are near the shore... perfect cover for scouting new spots!

I'm heading back to freshwater land after tomorrow's last stand with my dad. Hope it's a repeat of today. Been one Hell of a run though.

all this bad weather talk once again makes me happy with where I live. We are in the every day is 90-100 phase with low humidity. no complaints from me. I dont even look at the forecast, the only variable is the wind and an occasional thunderstorm.
Im heading out for some largemouth fishing tomorrow am, then maybe catch a movie. Friends come over for a cookout by the pool saturday PM.
Sunday wife is going to a craft thing most of the dya so I might head to a museum or something with the kids

Planning/mapping out the new workshop, media room and laundry room (big fun)..

Waiting on the big brown truck for goodies from: Shimano USA and a 1 piece blank from Lamiglas.

Making a few jig molds out of high temp rtv and assorted wooden lure madness.

And fishing at some point in there.

Saving some vacation for when my cousin (army medic)is in town, so the week of the 4th, is just regular m-f work for me.

Going to get the boys out fishing. Try and get some baseball practice in if the fields ever dry out.
