Can't plan a day!

Played hookey with the boy, went to fish the dropping tide at a good productive spot this time of year. Figured being a Tuesday who would have been there other then the Tog'ers... NOPE!... Gate is up, Signs posted.. AREA CLOSED...

WTF, burned a vacation day, figured on hitting Sachuest first thing this am, getting some shellfish (which we are still going to do in a couple of hours) then fish for some tog on the incoming before Mom comes home...

I checked their site but apparently you need to go to DOI.gov according to the sign. (Obamba just wrote a letter) . On the bright side i guess the small tog will live for another day.

Here is the reason.

All federal places are closed until they decide on what health insurance policy they will get and who will issue (pay) for it.

Plan accordingly.

Go in from Third Beach. Areas like Sachuest should not close - they could stay open but just not be manned. The place is basically managed by volunteers anyway. Good luck.

DZ, thought about that... But didn't want to deal with the trespassing BS. If i was solo i would have done it, but not with my 12yo.
