Winding the season down

Had a good last day out on the boat. Got into some nice bass, nothing of real size, but good for last boat fishing trip. Then went 0 for nine with the cod. All shorts. TunalessGreg's dad schooled both of us on the cod. I was daisy chained off their transom. One of my cod had a baby cod in its mouth peeking out at me..... Going to haul out one day this week. Looking forward to Togfest next Sunday. Still have surf gear in the Tahoe for a few more shots from the surf, but definitely feeling the end of my season is upon me.

The Fall run hasn't even started!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Perfect conditions tonight. As good as it gets with a big moon. 2 fish, 10 and 12 lbs in 4 hrs. Pretty much sums up my fall

Nice. I just finished putting everything away for the winter and winterizing the boat yesterday.

I wish I was going out with you guys next weekend. Maybe next year.

Boat is tucked away in its garage. Winterized and started cleaning her. Still in the surf but I'm counting down the days. Got some surgery on Tuesday that may keep me down for awhile.

No boat, back in the suds.

Good luck with the surgery....say hi to all the hot little candy stripers for me....

Hauled the boat today.... Powerwashed and used my new secret weapon to get the Salem Harbor brown stain out of the hull. Looks better than when I got her. Finish emptying it this week, winterize, throw on a frame and her cover. Neighbors are either asking why so early (for me), or saying that winter must be almost here. Was a good season. To do list is a lot of little things, mostly wiring, replacing some hasps and locker hinges. Must do item is to get fuel gauge operating..... since I did have two fuel related "incidents" this year....
Marked bait on way to the ramp. Water was still 60 degrees. Tough to do given conditions that say fish are still here, but it was time.

Good luck Paulie. We'll be thinking of you. Be sure you let someone here know when you are out.
