Recycling Waders?

After many new moons, I am finally retiring my pair of waders. :-(

My new waders arrived. :-)

Is there a way to recycle waders?

recycle?

I actually thought about cutting the feet off my old ones and making a lightweight rainproof bib for when you need it.

I had neoprene waders and when I got a new pair I gut them at the thigh and made a nice pair of hip boots. They work well.

I cut them knee high and use them for when I kayak.
Put on an old pair of sneakers (velcro strap ones) and my feet stay dry every time.

I am a legend in my own mind!

You guys got me thinking. May cut feet off old neoprenes and use them while ice fishing. Just cut a slot to piss through. Their buoyancy should help in getting out of water if you fall through.
