Why are you cutting nails with them? I've been using the same tip since I got mine maybe 5 years ago.

They're called inserts, not tips.
The little one you're going to need a different holder for and its actually a better cutter.
The one you're using on junk wood you got for free that has nails in it is already beat, just flip it and use the other end. I would remove any more nails first.

The tip I sent you is for a Midi Vega. Are you using the pro model, and if so that insert won't be good for your dup. You need to get the larger insert, although I don't remember it looking like that shape. I don't carry those so you are out of luck with me for those. I'll PM you . Paul

The difference is size, and cash. The midi can handle up to 10". The pro I believe might have 2 sizes. Someone more knowledgable might be able to give more insight.

I have a 36" pro. There is a 48' model also. I use the 36" for Baseball bats and stair spindles. In order to turn small stuff I have to remove tailstock unit and mount inside dupe mounts. It's mounted on a 42" jet variable 3 phase converter.
