Isn't it illegal to move a dead seal?

Not sure what to think.

There is something wrong with our society if something as trivial as
some dead seal on the street is gonna make such a big fuss.
Between the media and then carting this seal to Connecticut to study the corpse.

People are found dead on the street with less fuss.

I totally get the whole issue about the legality of moving a corpse of
a protected species...but come on. Its not news its a comedy.

Probably some drunk college kids just having some fun. What would
make the comedy perfect is that they spend tax dollars investigating
this and then throw the students into jail for this heinous and
unthinkable crime....hahahaha.

Do the people at news ten really have nothing else investigate?
Great reporting! You broke the case of the carcass with the sign!

Is this a harp seal that got away from being clubbed up in Canada to make a sealskin coat or whatever? It looks a little small, but if they take care of it well, it should make a nice pocketbook when the aquarium is done with it.

Seriously, I was not aware that harp seals made their way into Narragansett Bay.

I shouldn't "harp" on this but we should "seal" the borders!

I understand Providence "harbors" a lot of criminals.

Some thug probably got a couple of "fins" to off the fellow mammal.

This is sick, sick, sick... but now I'm "blubbering".

Some say that there's a fine line between a Surfcaster and some idiot just standing on the beach.

Just heard it on the news....

The necropsy report states the seal died waiting for winter to end.

Although it was terminal for that poor seal, it did not spread to the rest of the colony.
