I hope I did not come across as someone who was putting down this gentleman. I was just stating the prices are crazy. No reflection on the builder was intended. I have seen pics of his work and they look very nice. I was talking more about the crazy people spending that kind of cash on a fishing plug. Just seems nuts to me. I wish I had some to sell.

I fished up a NJ style pencil last year but it was not a Dmag, had a sticker looked like it said surf something or other on it. 😀 didnt see a fishermen on it either, i thought plugs catch fishermen before they catch fish 😀

This is what will give some plugs lasting value. Otherwise they're pretty much all commodity items. Some noteworthy builders will perhaps get a premium...but the rest is all market hype.

Very few are in existence. If people knew the lengths I went through to produce those they'd be astonished.
Is it one of the little needles?

They look like very nice plugs (I don't have one) and if they are anything like the rest of his plugs I'm sure they swim great, etc. But I'm curious why the ridiculous demand right now. Was there a slew of big fish caught on them last year? Did he say he's not going to make anymore?
I'm not asking to question the quality of the plug, just curious what caused the current frenzy.
