Nice....we're taking the troop in July. Let me know how it goes for you.....any tips would be welcome.
As for the weekend, going to Godzilla today with my daughter.
Tomorrow yard work and then fishing the PISC Invitational......Troop 50 has fielded a team of scouts to take on the high liners.....should be fun.
Sunday drinking beer in a pseudo coma for the day at family BBQ

Taking my son up to Cape Cod for a soccer tournament at the Cape Cod Community College and Sandwich High School fields. Staying in Yarmouth.
Bringing my schoolie surf gear in hopes of getting out after dark with another soccer Dad/Striper fisherman for some fishing around Yarmouth and the Bass river.

Gonna try 'yakkin in the North River for stripers. Hope to catch a few fallfish for bait; guys in the Delaware say they work pretty well. Been a while since I've had a good striper trip; looking forward to it.

Fishing non-stop. We have been crushing large the last 2 days. Not killing mind you but catching at a rate equal to 2006-7. Nothing over 23# so far.

Indeed. Interesting morning with all the weekend boaters who couldn't find there ass with both hands. Pea soup fog. No radar or other electronics and they're roaring around like it's a bluebird day.
Back to no weekends on the water.

Continue on how Friday and Saturday went. Rented an boat from the base, fished the bay with my daughter and her BF on Friday.. we found a nice pod of fish.. enticed three keepers into the boat with 6 oz diamond jigs. Fish were 30", 36" and 39".
Saturday eve it was squid squid squid.. until about midnight when my lights ran down the old truck battery I use to power them.
More squid tonight and then test drive my new yak tomorrow.
