They were really and truly the greatest generation. Went without so we could have. Tough disciplinarians who loved you but wouldn't take any crap either.

Same here. But very happy to have the twins coming over for brunch in a couple of minutes! Also spoiled rotten by my better half, who is not their mother, but makes it all happen...

Happy Father's Day to all out there.
I decided to take cam with me for his first trip to the surf this morning, on the way there I realized I forgot my iphone, didn't feel like turning back for it so we continued on. Got to south cape beach and just walked in out front. I rigged him up with a 7'6 rod, light spinning reel and a bright orange surface tension. I was hoping he'd ping a blue or striper, but on his second cast he let the lure sink and was reeling ever so slowly. Then he turns to me and tells me it's heavy, but he kept cranking and to both our amazement. He pulled in a 3lb striped sea robin for his first surf caught fish. I'm kinda glad I got to experience this wo a camera stuck to my face. All the way home he kept telling me to call him the "king", and he asked where the fish I caught were. What a great memory to make with him!
