Colt State Park question

Was thinking of making a quick trip somewhere for a few hours Fri. night, and was thinking of Colt. I know there is a restriction from sunset to sunrise, but was wondering if they enforce it strictly, or like some other locations, let fishermen alone? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Place a very viewable sign on your dashboard stating that you are fishing nearby.

Also make sure that you leave your vehicle EMPTY with no sign that you're hiding anything. If a crook thinks your hiding something under a messy-left sweatshirt, that's enough to make them pop the window to check. I know people who leave their vehicle unlocked for this exact reason, short of stealing the vehicle, they leave nothing to be stolen and doors unlocked so the crook doesn't have to break the window.

School is out....kids will be kids, never mind the possible junky that strolls on by.

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Dave, no restrictions with the park if youre fishing there at night.

theres a lot of better spots close by, especially now that the channel from the millgut is no longer there and filled in over the winter.

Ill give you a call later on today.

I do that at the Canal, too. I'll even leave some loose change in the cupholder so they don't smash a window out of spite.
