S-B site is the best!

I appreciate this site so much, the friends made here are real people who are some of the nicest people around. I also want to thank John for making it possible. I found this site more than 15 years ago and still check it just about every day, most time more than once a day.
I want to give thanks to a certain friend/fishing partner who stepped up to bat for me recently regarding a large purchase I made. He got me a large savings and I want you all to know how much it is appreciated. Good friends are hard to come by. Thank you! I won't mention any names but thank you again, you are VERY thoughtful.
I sometimes am amazed at the things the members do here for each other. It is a great community we have here and I don't take it for granted. I try to give back when I can also, so thank you to all those who really care.

I don't get on the site or contribute much anymore, but I agree with what ProfessorM posted. I've made lots of friends on this site and learned a ton from some really good fishermen. I miss the old days and some of the flame wars, but it's still a nice little online community. Thanks JR!

Most guys on this site are certainly worthy of anything you can do to help, because if anyone else ever need anything they'd all be in line to help.

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

I have also enjoyed the strictly heterosexual camaraderie of many of my fellow fishermen here on S-B! But seriously......my life has been enriched by S-B in so many ways! So many friends I have come to know and spend great times with and I hope it continues......forevah!!!!!

PS- 23,000 posts is within reach!!! LOL!

I've met a lot of great people through this site as well and from a purely fishing standpoint, this site has some of best fishermen on the east coast IMO.

This site does so many good things on so many levels. First and foremost, it's a great source of information from the many great fisherman that interact here. Even though I have years in the surf, I'm constantly learning new tips, and tricks, that I can apply to my own style.
Secondly, it's a site full of just good, compassionate people who genuinely care about each other and are always looking to help each other out, during any struggle they may be enduring. I have been dealing with my wife's ongoing battle with breast cancer, and have had dozens of well wishes, and PM's from guys here offering us help. Many I know, or will soon, but some are just wishing us their best, or offering thoughts and prayers. We have been touched deeply by the support of everyone, thank you.
Thanks to John for your hard work here, you truly have something wonderful. I will be a member here for many years to come, and thanks to all who make this site great.

Agree, Slip. Some of the guys have become my best friends, even though I don't see them much. How ever when I speak to or get to see them it seems like we just pick up where we left off, like we've always known each other.

Solid people who I have been blessed to know. I could never forget what the people who have done things for me, and Thank John for making it possible.

Without a doubt my favorite site! As far as the members here they are also great! A few years ago the warden gave me a 2 day pass to take a ride up and fish the Cape ( 20 years since my last trip). I sent a pm to a member that I was on they way. Upon arrival Chris (BT) met me and off we went for a great day, finally got to meet and fish with a great crew: Chris,Moose,Andy,Soups,Paul M. and even Skippy, got to finally meet Slip and Larry for a few minutes on another trip. Don't remember how many fish I caught but will always remember the great time I had!

I know with all our lives, craziness, and whatever else we deal with, things go by the wayside but, it'd be nice to have a cookout/ meet and greet again, in the summer with a little fishing in there. I've been to cutty, made some great friends on this site, but I think it'd be a great idea to do this again.

I've met and fished with some great guys and gals here, but miss some of the get together s we had in the past. Some of the cookouts and fishing get together's were a hoot and speaking of hoot(ers), miss the beer, wings and scenery meets. Sitting between Clammer and Habs bookends was always good for a laugh.
