Wellfleet Harbor ?

I am staying at a house near Wellfleet Harbor over the weekend. How is the fishing in harbor this time of year? Not looking for specifics on where and when to go but more about what I should expect.

Thanks
Steve

Hit or miss like any place else! I rented in the Indian Neck section for years! Incoming tide to high look for surface activity and birds and be ready to scramble!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Your better off taking a short drive to one of the outer beaches, or fish the area called "duck harbor" which is the inside at the end of Chequessett neck road. Good parking, short walk to the beach, go south a short distance, and fish low to incoming. Watch the tide though, as once it starts moving, make sure you know your way back, and aren't out too far to wade the channels. Talk to the shops, buy a plug, you'll get some intel.

Look for the pogey schools that hang out along the inside of the boat basin. If they are there then the fish will be not too far behind. The harbor is a big place so move around there's plenty of areas to get access.A hike out to Great I. and plug can be good.Massive area to explore.
