Yesterday, I made sure that I had plenty of gas in the shed, charged the battery for the generator and took note that I need to stop on the way home tonight to pick up some chain bar oil. Heavy snow sucks.

your "nothing happened" put down 2 20'+ blue spruce in my yard that had been there since the late 70's... taking the power lines off my house... the other only missed the garage by hanging up on a pine tree... my power was restored at 11 last night... 12 hours after I lost it... tree company will be there today to remove the carcasses to the tune of $1500... the stumps to be ground ( when the snow is gone) for another $450... this is the most wind I have ever seen at this location... it was plain nasty...the snow ..no big deal.. just a wet heavy misery that turned solid overnight.
